VerSnyders Fruit farm is located in beautiful Lake Leelanau, Michigan. The first trees were planted in 1999 by Kevin VerSnyder, a strapping twenty-two year old, who, with little more than a vision, and a passion for agriculture, decided to start a fruit farm. The rest is history in the making. Today, some of the fruit producing trees include trees that were planted in the 1860's by Kevin's great, great grandfather Mathias VerSnyder, and are the much sought after Antique Macintosh for their strong sweet-tart taste with nuances of spice.
At VerSnyders Fruit we offer many varieties of fruit and pride ourselves with cutting edge growing techniques (i.e. perpendicular "V" method in peaches and tall spindle, high density in apples). We grow apples, peaches, nectarines, blackberries, pears and some Michigan cherries.
